Company development at a glance
Processum AG was founded in March 2000 as a spin-off of DocuWare GmbH (formerly DOCUNET/DocuWare AG) in Rosenheim. In 2005, the registered office was moved to Germering and at the beginning of 2011 the company was converted into a GmbH.
Then as now, Processum GmbH is successfully active in process-oriented document management consulting and implementation, particularly in the SAP environment. For almost a quarter of a century now.

What is DMS/ECM?
Document Management Systems and Enterprise Content Management are the basis for integrated solutions for document management and audit-proof electronic archiving.
Documents on paper or in any digital format such as Office, CAD, e-mail, spool and other files are automatically processed, recorded, classified, provided with a full text index and made available for further processing.
Additional records management functions ensure secure, controlled and logged access.
Enhanced with workflow functionalities, Web Content Management and universal integration functions, modern DM systems provide all the elements for powerful Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
When selecting a DMS/ECM, it is important to consider not only convenience and security, but also a complete range of functions, simple operation and administration, as well as a high level of integration capability and scalability.
What is SAP ArchiveLink?
ArchiveLink is a standardized interface from SAP SE that enables a standardized connection of external, digital archive solutions to SAP systems. Third-party providers of archive solutions can be certified by SAP SE for ArchiveLink in order to demonstrably guarantee the required SAP functionalities.
What is digital archiving and data archiving under SAP?
In practice, the terms “digital (optical) archiving” and “data archiving” are often used misleadingly.
Digital archiving refers to the storage of all documents and files in a storage system (archive system). SAP provides the ArchiveLink interface for this purpose.
Database-based archiving (ADK = Archive Development Kit) in SAP involves outsourcing database content to external files (so-called REO files). This is done, for example, to reduce the load on the SAP database or to increase the performance of the system.
What is SAP Business Workflow?
The SAP workflow component is part of SAP NetWeaver and offers extensive automation and control functions for processes that require approval, such as salary increases, hiring employees and approving invoices. As a rule, the relevant processes are analyzed, optimized if necessary and implemented with SAP Business Workflow. With SAP Workflow, complete work processes can be designed transparently and optimally, resulting in time and cost savings.
What is SAP Records Management?
SAP Records Management is a component of SAP NetWeaver that provides functionalities for creating electronic records in SAP. By linking different types of documents and objects and defining individual user groups, business and work processes can be made more efficient and transparent. For example, an HR personnel file brings together all information relating to a company employee. In a machine file, all processes and documents relating to a machine can be clearly displayed (e.g. washing machine from development through production to maintenance and repair work). Working from a file means working in a process-controlled manner.
What is DART?
SAP DART (Data Retention Tool) enables all tax-relevant company data from various sources to be summarized, filtered or passed on (“transferred to data carriers”).
With the appropriate software, the tax authorities and tax auditors can read the DART extracts for auditing purposes. DART is therefore a necessity for all companies that use SAP.
